About the Author

When I started what's now the Calysandor Chronicles, it didn't even have that name yet. I had a vision for an RPG and founded Studio Modeboogie to build it. I tried developing apps, picked up bartending gigs on the side — anything to scrape together the capital to fund the game I wanted to make. Eventually reality won: the story was too big for one person to build alone. But I couldn't let it go, so I took the script I'd written for the game and turned it into a novel instead.

That novel became Crimson Shadows, the first book in the Calysandor Chronicles. I still run Studio Modeboogie, I still work in IT, and some part of me still hasn't fully let go of the game — but for now, this is where the story lives.
